Established in 1995, Shanghai Chemetall is a global surface treatment technology supplier and as a global business unit of the Coatings Division of the BASF Group. Shanghai Chemetall covers almost all segments like Aerospace, Automotive, Coil Industry, Aluminum Finishing, Automotive Components, Appliances and Electrical Goods, Cold Forming, Metalworking Fluids, Glass Industry and General Industry, Food and Beverage, etc. Chemetall’s knowledge of the cold forming industry includes much more than the most comprehensive portfolio of processes and solutions for the wire, tube, extrusion, and forging industries. We are a dedicated team of specialists with many years of collective experience. Shanghai Chemetall owns three sites in China with approx. 300 employees (including the contract staff). Two are located in Shanghai: Kang Qiao Industrial Zone and Minhang Zhuanqiao area. The third site is located in Pinghu, Zhejiang Province, which is so far the biggest investment of Chemetall in Asia Pacific (Project Apollo).
