On March 19, 2020, the United States International Trade Commission (ITC) voted to make an affirmative final determination on the anti-dumping and anti subsidy industry damage of carbon and alloysteel threaded rod imported from China and India. In this ruling, five members of the International Trade Commission voted yes.

According to the affirmative decision of the U.S. International Trade Commission, the U.S. Department of Commerce will Issue anti-dumping and countervailing duties orders for carbon and alloysteel threaded rod imported from China and India. This case involves products under harmonized tariff No. 7318.15.5051, 7318.15.5056 and 7318.15.5090, and some products under tariff No. 7318.15.2095 and 7318.19.0000.

On March 14, 2019: In response to the application submitted by the U.S. enterprise on February 21, 2019, the U.S. Department of Commerce announced that it would launch an anti-dumping investigation on the carbon and alloysteel threaded rod Imported from China, India, Taiwan region of China and Thailand, as well as an anti subsidy Investigation on the related products imported from China and India. 

On April 5, 2019: The U.S. International Trade Commission made a preliminary anti-dumping industrial injury Judgment on carbon and alloysteel threaded rod imported from China, India, Taiwan, China and Thailand, and also made a preliminary anti subsidy industrial injury Judgment on products imported from China and India. 

On July 23, 2019: The U.S. Department of Commerce announced a preliminary countervailing ruling on carbon and alloysteel threaded rod imported from China and India.

On September 20, 2019: The U.S. Department of Commerce announced an affirmative preliminary anti-dumping ruling on carbon and alloysteel threaded rod Imported from China, India and Taiwan.  

On February 10, 2020: The U.S. Department of Commerce announced an affirmative final determination on anti-dumping and countervailing of carbon and alloysteel threaded rod imported from China and India. According to us statistics, the total imports of carbon and alloysteel threaded rod from China, India, Taiwan, China and Thailand In 2018 were about USD 104.7 million, USD 35.8 million, USD 51.1 million and USD 5.8 million respectively.
