Carmakers in Europe and the US, hard hit by the latest outbreak, are returning to work on a limited basis. Among them, Germany's Volkswagen's largest plant in Wolfsburg began to partially resume production on this month 27th. The United States General motors, Ford and other auto companies are actively seeking to resume production on May 18.
As a series of controls during the outbreak prevented many car manufacturers from commuting to work, car dealers from operating, and consumer demand for cars collapsed, carmakers in Europe and the us stopped production. A growing number of companies are returning to production as countries have recently eased their bans.
