According to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics, from January to June, the profits of industrial enterprises above designated size nationwide totaled 2511.49 billion yuan, down 12.8% year-on-year. Among them, the total profit of the automobile manufacturing industry fell 20.7 percent in the first half.

However, it is worth noting that due to proper epidemic control measures, domestic industrial production has picked up significantly.In the second quarter, the profits of industrial enterprises increased by 4.8% compared with the same period last year, and fell by 36.7% in the first quarter. Especially in May and June, the profits increased by 6.0% and 11.5% respectively, and the growth rate accelerated month by month.

Cars made in China await export from Lianyungang, Jiangsu province, to the overseas markets.
